HSMO’s Longmeadow Rescue Ranch is looking for a Lead Ranch Assistant. Responsibilities include monitoring and checking the work of other employees and ranch volunteers, performing proper care for all animals at the ranch, adherence to established feeding, sanitation, medical procedures, assisting and restraining animals for veterinarian and farrier, and following all HSM Adoption policies guidelines. The successful candidate should have professional horse handling experience including halter training and socializing, have or ability to obtain a Class E driver’s license, and horse hauling experience. Experience with other farm animals is desirable. Should be proficient in personal computing skills (Word, Excel, email and Internet). Prior lead or supervisory experience would be a plus. This position is full time and eligible for benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability and sick/vacation time. It also requires a flexible schedule and includes weekend work.
