Animal Adoption Counselors take care of dogs, cats, rabbits, and interacts with the public on a daily basis to counsel new families who can take them home. We are looking for people who have animal handling experience, strong customer service skills, and are passionate about helping animals find their forever homes!
Responsibilities include:
- feeding, watering, walking, kennel sanitation, and general care of the animals,
- determining if animals are ready to go home, and
- forming strong relationships with clients who are making adoption decisions.
We are currently looking to this fill full-time, entry-level position, which includes weekend hours, at our Headquarters on Macklind Avenue in St. Louis.
The role has starting pay of $11.25/hour and is eligible for the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and Life/Disability, as well as Vacation, Sick and Holiday pay. Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 3 months of customer service experience and animal handling experience is preferred.
