Description
Oversees and develops designated and special fund opportunities for HSMO and Longmeadow Rescue Ranch. Ensures the accurate coding of gifts and timely acknowledgement of donations. Manages the membership and Steering Committee of the Women’s Leadership Council. Plans and participates in recognition events. Solicits gifts to support designated funds of HSMO and Longmeadow Rescue Ranch by employing several methods, including but not limited to individual proposals, grants, presentations and online requests as deemed appropriate or required by the donor or prospect. Tracks and reports on revenue at regularly scheduled meetings. Participates in meetings related to designated fund members, all fundraising events and special events, and general fundraising strategy sessions as needed/requested by the organization. Attends organizational special events as needed and requested.

Position requirements include:
Minimum 3-5 years donor relationship and fundraising experience in a donor relations or grant writing position.
Experience working with Raiser’s Edge required, additional familiarity with Luminate (formerly Convio) a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required.
Demonstrate excellent writing skills and be able to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
Passion for all animals and the mission of the organization.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
Master’s degree or AFP certification preferred.
