The Humane Society of Missouri is seeking a full-time Development Office Coordinator. The position coordinates the daily operations of the Development Office. Greets visitors entering the office, assists with requests for information from other HSMO departments and the general public, answers incoming calls and routes to the appropriate individuals, provides administrative support to the Chief Development Officer, Director of Planned and Major Gifts, and Assistant Director-Donor Relations. This position is responsible for the daily receipt and processing of all donor gifts and donor information into the fundraising database in a timely and accurate manner. The position generates gift acknowledgements for appropriate signatures and mails acknowledgements and other program related materials to donors in a timely fashion. In addition, this individual will generate reports on data entry, gift amounts and revenue on a regular basis for review by management. The position is expected to support department cultivation activities and fundraising events. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. At least one year experience and up to three years of experience in database entry in a fundraising office or similar setting, preferably with exposure to Raiser’s Edge. Must be knowledgeable with computer programs, including the entire Microsoft Office Suite. The individual should be able to manage multiple deadlines, handle a high volume of data entry, and exhibit excellent internal and external customer service skills.
